To clean different surfaces from adhesive tape, you need to use different methods. After all, the main goal — not only get rid of sticky marks, but also do not damage the flooring.
Below we have listed several universal ways to clean the floor from the tape, as well as special tools that may not be used in all cases.
It is important to remember that floorings of the same type, but different types (for example, boards made of wood of different species), perceive the same cleaning products differently. Before cleaning, we strongly recommend that you take a small unused piece of material and try the cleaner on it. If the chosen method deforms the sample surface — try other options.
Universal products for hard surfaces (not suitable for carpets and rugs):
- buy a cleaner designed specifically for your type of flooring (the best option for cleaning laminate, parquet, wood and other easily damaged materials);
- purchase a special decal remover (when buying, read the instructions and make sure the substance can be used on your floor);
- warm up the contaminated area with a household hair dryer and wipe with a simple napkin;
- use another piece of tape to remove adhesive from the surface;
