Self-adhesive aluminum tape for a bath
The main requirement for a bath or sauna room is to maintain a constant level for a long time high temperature and humidity. For this, in addition to insulating the facade and floors of the building, the interior is insulated with shielding materials.
Foil-clad heaters capable of reflecting heat rays are used as shielding materials. Internal insulation of a sauna or bath with such material effectively prevents any heat loss. Self-adhesive aluminum tape for a bath is used to seal the joints of foil-clad insulation when it is installed on the wooden frame of the steam room.
Material features
Aluminum self-adhesive sealant tape - This soft aluminum foil is coated with an acrylic adhesive. A layer of silicone-impregnated paper protects the adhesive layer and makes it easier to work with the tape when installing thermal insulation in the bath. This tape can be used up to a temperature +130 °C.
The tape is easily glued to a clean and smooth surface of aluminum foil used in baths and saunas as a heat-insulating and vapor barrier material, and tightly seals its joints. As the room temperature rises, the adhesive layer of the tape adheres even more to the foil, that is, the sealing of the foil joints increases.
In addition to the installation of reflective insulation, foil heat-resistant adhesive tape is widely used in the repair of air ducts, chimneys, ventilation ducts for their sealing.
Self-adhesive aluminum tape is resistant to corrosion, high humidity and temperature. A single 50-meter roll of aluminum tape is sufficient to seal joints in a medium-sized sauna. For this purpose, it is most convenient to use a tape with a width of 50 mm.
